A communication channel aimed directly at our employees

"The objective of using InfoBoard® has been to establish a communication channel aimed directly at all employees, regardless of where, or in what capacity they work. In an organisation such as Arla, our colleagues in production do not have the same access to the intranet as the managers, and it is therefore important to have a channel for internal communication which provides instant access. In Arla, InfoBoard® is used to deliver both local and corporate news, whilst simultaneously showing Arla advertisements on the screens.

We have a high degree of decentralisation with regard to updating our InfoBoards®. The screen is designed with a standard template, but it is up to the individual plant or office to publicise the information. However, it is our standard practise that the three latest news items from Corporate Communications are always shown. It is clear to us that video is the most eye catching of the various content formats, we therefore take maximum advantage of showing advertising films, whilst also sharing additional Arla information in other areas of the screens.

InfoBoard® has greatly assisted in creating an homogenous branding experience on arrival at any of our dairies or offices. This wide distribution of company news further underlines our inclusive and progressive ideologies in terms of our relationship with our staff. Excellent! Intuitive and easy to use

"The purpose of introducing InfoBoard® was to facilitate staff being kept informed of National, Council-wide, departmental and floor news and information in line with the refurbishment of Kensington Town Hall. Other types of information published on the screens are; national news, new ways of working information relating to changes in the Town Hall, weather/travel information, any news relating to the work-force. Travel info is always of interest being located in Central London. It is not intended as way-finding device, but the professional look and feel of the product gives the Town Hall the desired appearance of a professional, effective workplace.

InfoBoard® offers a valuable information source; it also provides visual stimulus in the office area and is a focal point for staff. Checking the national news, weather, travel and “what’s new!” has become second nature to most staff.

The user interface is excellent! Intuitive and easy to use. Customer support is also excellent! There is always someone willing to spend as much time as necessary to resolve problems. I would say the staff are professional and courteous, but with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels they are a pleasure to work with. A truly dynamic system, which is fully in step with modern requirement

In a major “best place to work” survey our internal communication was identified as an area, which was lacking focus and required some degree of alignment. In response to this we have now installed InfoBoard®. Using InfoBoard® we can pre-programme our information transmissions, which range between company news, local branch news and national RSS newsfeeds. At our so-called ‘pedestrian traffic pinch-points’, such as the canteen, stair wells, corridors and in various departments, people will often stop to check out the latest news, always available on the relevant InfoBoard®. In addition, we use a so-called ‘PC preview’, which means that our employees can view InfoBoard® directly on their desktops. Although the system is intended for use internally within DSV, our visitors also read the InfoBoards® - they feel that it is a “cool” solution, which fits well with the organisation. In short, it is a truly dynamic system, which is fully in step with modern requirements, making it a simple operation to deliver concise, accurate information within a specific time-frame.”

InfoBoard® has become an essential part of the way we operate as a whole, and in the way we communicate internally

I am responsible for internal communication at Abba Seafood and InfoBoard® helps make my job considerably more manageable. I can very simply and simultaneously deliver news and other information to employees throughout the organisation, regardless of whether they work in head office, the factory, in our raw materials department or in our warehouse. The distance between our four buildings is no longer an obstacle to communication.
